In Blender 5.2, the Asset Browser has expanded beyond a local file management tool into a place where you can directly explore remote online asset libraries.
Previously, to use models, materials, or brushes, you first had to download the files and then register their folder as a Blender asset library.
Now, you can browse remotely hosted asset lists directly inside Blender and download only the assets you need.
After registering an online asset library, you can explore its contents in the Asset Browser by viewing thumbnails and categories.
Because you do not need to install the entire library in advance, you can work by selecting and downloading only the assets you actually need.
This can make file management much easier, especially for large asset libraries and team projects.

Brushes can also be explored and selected as thumbnail-based assets in the Asset Browser.
A brush asset stores more than just its name. It can also include the alpha texture, stroke method, strength, and other brush settings.
This means you no longer need to recreate complex settings every time. You can simply look at the thumbnails and choose the brush that matches the result you want.
